stupid question I am sure but where can I find acrylic for building my refugeum? I looked at home depot all they had was plexyglass that was 1/8 inch thin that wouldnt hold up i dont think. I baought a glass cutter to cut extra glass i had and got one good cut and broke most of the rest.

Most use a glass aquarium 20+ gallons. You can buy premade sumps that are acrylic on line.

If you want to build an acrylic sump yourself contact some glass companys. They have acrylic too.

Plexiglass and acrylic are the same thing, you could check Lowe's or another Home Depot. My HD had 1/4 in. sheets (which is what I'm using for my sump). Your HD may just have been sold out.

I was talking about for inside the sump. I have a 55g that I am gonna use for the sump. Sorry for the confusion!

You can use plexiglass for the baffles. I think I used 1/8" thick on my old 55 gallon sump.

I bought 1/4" plexiglass at Homedepot for my fuge. I used 1/8" on my 10g, but it's pretty flexible.

i got a 1/4 inch at my local home depot. it was $15 for a 2 x 3 sheet. cant really make anything big out of it. but some local plastic store sell it in 4 x 8 's for about $120
