anybody have any luck with the after market lighting systems? LED's T-5s or metal halides. I went to buy a new light system today and was told that the light I ordered was no longer in stock. So the next bets light I found was over 100 bucks. mixed reef 40 gal breeder tank is what I am looking to put a light on.

What do you mean by 'aftermarket' light fixtures? Standard aquariums don't generally come with reef capable lights

What light fuxtures are you running?
none right now I am setting up this 40gal but want to get a light system for it. I ordered the nova extreme by current but dr fosters called and said they no longer had it in stock. so now I am looking for something different. I saw after market lights like odyssey light fixtures, or led's from Tao Tronics?

The nova extreme is a very good fixture, have you tried finding another retailer that has it in stock?

That's not what "aftermarket" means. ;)
The nova is a proven fixture if you want T5. Buy it somewhere else.
If you want LED, that's a whole different ball game.
