Aiptasia in LFS Tanks?

Is this a common thing for LFS to have aiptasia in their tanks? And do people keep Aiptasia? I've seen what it can do to a person and I would never want anything like that near me or my fish.

But anyways, I walked into a local LFS today and saw this:

Needless to say, I walked out afterwards...

Ya even the best shops they can be found but you can tell if they have been there a while. One that big and I would have walked out also...

Just remember that the ones of us that help in the LFS's, deal with same problems as the average hobbyist. :D
BTW,
You should see the tanks we've got set to actually cultivate Aiptasia so we can keep Bergia ( sp? ) nudi's to sale.

That sucker almost looks like he's on display for sale. Anyway, one of the LFS is like that- usually at least one tank where the rock is covered in the things.

I went into a local Petco and the tanks were flooded with Aiptasia. I asked the sales associate about it and he said they didn't even bother trying to combat them anymore as he could never keep up. I saw tanks full of them that were easily twice the size of the one you have pictured.

I also went to a local specialist shop and his tanks had just as many. With hundreds of tanks I just don't think you'll ever get rid of them completely. I used to try and battle every one that popped up (using Aiptasia-X) but they always find a way back out. I have a few large ones now but they seem to be fine and I treat them every once in a while to cull back.

My 125 was over run with those, after a while I gave up. Rocks looked like an alien planet. Then I bought a file fish, forgot the species, and a half dozen peppermint shrimp. With little effort with the aiptasia-X and the crew my tank is completely cleared of the pest.
