Alk - how high is too high?

    Figured as much. When I told him I always heard it was between 8 and 12dkh he basically told me I was wrong and recommended some book I have never heard of :/

    Going to order a different test and when that comes ill see how that one goes :)

    I'd go to one of your LFS and ask them to test it as well, just so you have more info.

    Yeah I only have a pets unlimited here, called them and they only test the basics -.-

    Figures.

    Ohwell ill just have to wait until I get a new test. Driving 10 hours is just not an option atm;)

    If the corals in your tank look normal, I wouldn't rush out and get a new test kit, everything is most likely ok

    Update

    Went to the pet store and they actually had an alk test. (hagen by nutrafin) Tested my water and it was 10dkh
    I can sleep a little better now.
