Aqua Euro Usa 250 Skimmer Hekp

I have had this skimmer for over a month already and I cannot get it to wet skim. I have tried 5 to 12 inches of water in the sump. All I can get is foam.
I only collect skimmate inside the cone about a half an inch from the top.
I do have the adjustment with the foam around it all the way up. I think my old coralife 125 was working better. Thanks for your help.

How long has the skimmer been running? Some skimmers can take a few weeks to break in.

According to the manual, it says the water level in your sump should be 5-7". Also, when you adjust the "water level adjuster" how long are you waiting before moving it again? I'd wait at least a day before making more changes.

It's been running about a month. It is in 6 inches of water.
The outlet tube has been all the way up for more than a week.
