Best way to detach a leather coral from rock?

Hey Guys,

One of my devils hand has multiplied and multiplied to the point where there's too many in my tank. I would like to detach them from the rocks they are on but I am wondering the best way to do this. If I were to use a razor blade and cut as close to the base as possible, would the "stump" of the coral continue to grow after I cut it? What would happen to it? Here's a pic so you have an idea of what I am dealing with. Thanks!

The stumps will grow back. That's a problem with leathers that grow prolifically -- kenya trees are the worst! Once you cut it, I'd smother the stump with some superglue gel. That will keep it from growing back.

That sounds like a good idea, I will try that out. Thanks!

I wish it were that simple... it's pretty low in my tank, I would have to unstack half of my tank to get the rock out.
