bleaching coraline

I had a bunch of coralline spots growing on my overflow.. it was mostly all green but there's some pink color too... and recently its all bleaching.

What causes this?? I think my light bulbs are going bad, could this cause it? I'm testing my water as we speak and so far its looking good for ammonia, nitrates and nitrites... the only other test i have is pH. What causes coralline to bleach??

It only takes a minute or so in the air for coralline to bleach. When I do a water change, I constantly pour water over the exposed parts and it helps. Coralline also needs good levels of alk, calcium and mag.

Biffs right.
But I've also noticed that my coralline will go therough cycles where it grows good and has bright colors for a while, then it'll fade out and some of it will bleach, then it'll color back up.
