Blue spot AND cat shark in same tank?

A fellow member of my local salt club has a monster tank, an in wall 700ish gallon. He currently has a bunch of random fish, and a cat shark. He is considering putting in a blue spotted ray. Will these two live together okay? I can see a lot of fighting, considering theyre both bottom dwellers. Just curious. Its his tank, to each his own.

Sometimes when we want something bad enough we convince ourselves that a problem which is inevitable doesn't exist. I think an experienced and mature hobbyist stops, researches, and thinks long and hard before entering into the unknown. Hopefully he's has done his research!
