Broken Mouth?

what is going on?
my chromis has been healthy for almost a year now, but lately he has been leaving his mouth open when he feeds and when its like that he cant get any food in. now its just always stuck like it is in the picture. anyone seen this before?

My clowns look like that kinda, when they chew on the hammer coral or the candy cane, but they eat fine, maybe he will perk up? Wish you all the best!

ACTUALLY....one or 2 of my chromis did that!!! Freaked me out! They'd do it during feeding. I couldn't catch them to inspect closer. But the next day, their mouths were normal...but at feeding times again, they would do it. They don't do that anymore, though. One of my smallest chromis died, but I'm not sure if it's from that. The other chromis just bullied him till he starved.

during feeding he may get a very small amount of food in his mouth but he mostly pecks at it and fails. i feel like just pushing it back to where it goes but i dont want to hurt him.
