Brown algae ?

All of my brown algae has turned to dust ? normal?

the diatom algae on the side of your tank eventually will disapear

Diatoms look like dust. I'd say that's normal.

Sounds like a good thing. Can youblow it around with a power head for the filters to pick it up.

ok thanx guys and girl another worry of mine is that my LFS told me that distelled "I cant spell worth a danm" is pretty much the same thing as RO H20
is this true?

Thats what I been using for past year and half.I use the wal-mart brand distelled water and as far as I can tell,its not causing me any problems.
Of course the wife fusses some about haulling 10/1 gallon jugs home at a time.

If you read the label on most distilled water carefully, it says something like "Prepared using Reverse Osmosis"...

To answer the question technically though, I don't think you can say that distilled water is the same as RO/DI water...right?

not technically, but it is filtered by both means and then some...
