A couple of weeks ago I wrote about a plague of stringy brown slimy algae throughout my tank. I got lots of different suggestions. (My water chemistry was great with zero nasties).
After turning the lights off for 48 hrs and adding a UV light filter, my brown algae problem has gone and it's been 2 weeks now. (This didn't seem to hurt the corals either). The algae was there a bit after the lights came on but once I installed the UV it went. I did a 20% water change only. Thank you to all who offered suggestions, I'm wrapped it's gone!.
