Jun 15, 2010 #3 H Hiker4twenty Reef enthusiast I've had those bubbles in my sand since I started my tank and even when I upgraded. Sometime I will see them release and float to the surface. They have not hurt anything that I no of.

Jun 15, 2010 #4 Smitty Reef pro I believe it's just trapped air, from when we pour the water onto the sand when initially setting up.
