My Bangaii cardinalfish follows my clown fish almost everywhere. Tonight the cardinalfish has been touching its fin (several times) on the bubbles of the anemone while my clownfish is right in the bubbletip. Nothing has happened and I'm puzzled... Why doesn't he get stung? He is not deterred from swimming almost in the anemone.

hmmmm... I would think the anemone senses the clownfish, putting down its defenses, and doesn't feel threatened by the cardinal either.

I don't think BTAs have a very potent sting, compared to other anemones. You may see some discoloration of the fish's scales, but I don't think it's easy for them to kill anything but tiny fish.
