Buffering New RO H2O

In the past I had always used city water (cleaned up with carbon filtration) and therefore I had no need to buffer it - as we have hard water with a PH of the desired level (8.2 - 8.4 I seem to recall). Now that I am starting a new setup, I have obtained an RO unit in the hopes of avoiding phosphates, etc. When newly adding new RO water, is it necessary to buffer up its PH prior to putting it in the aquarium ?

no, most salt mixes will get you to the correct pH, but if you are still concerned look for a salt brand that is designed for RO/DI water
