cleaning reflectors

so heres a pic of the reflectors I got with my lights

obvious lots of build up. I used CLR to try and loosen it up but didnt do much? Was thinking about using the buffing wheel on my dremel.

Any other things to use? Obviously I dont want to sand it cause then it ruins it but what can I use to get that stuff off?

If CLR didnt do it, I doubt vinegar will. CLR is pretty much just an acid that dissolves lime scale.

To me it looks like some of the chrome on the reflector is starting to corrode away.

But, it wouldnt hurt to have a gallon of vinegar around, it is very useful for cleaning things that go into our tanks.
