Compatible? Overstocking?

Reefing newb
20g long tank. Pair of clowns, a goby, a royal gramma and 1-2 fire fish.

CUC: cleaner shrimp, peppermint, and maybe a red banded coral. And some snails

Is this overstocking? Or comPatible?

That's a major overstock.

Stick with the pair of clowns and MAYBE either the royal gramma or small goby, not both.

As for the inverts, the coral banded shrimp will rip any other shrimp in the tank apart, as well as the occasional snail or crab. So either just get the coral banded and be prepared to replace snails every so often, or better yet avoid it all together.

Also, keep in mind that shrimp don't really do much of a CUC role, they're more decorative like fish. But the typical ones you see in stores will get along fine except the aforementioned Coral Banded.

And as always, add animals as few and far between as possible.

+1 everyone! Big on the overstock! The clowns would be fine. An RG might be ok, but a 20 is a little small for him. I'd go for the goby. They can be perfectly content in a smaller tank.
