Copper in the tank? Help...

Hello all,
I am new member here and really need help.
I bought a used 75 gallon saltwater complete setup. The problem is the tank had 0.15 copper in it (tested be 3 local Reef Shop). I read an artical here:

I am going to follow that procedure to clean the old rock. The question is:
Will the Muriatic Acid will get rid all copper in and outside the old rocks.

I've read about people using that method with success. It's worth a shot. If not, you're stuck buying all new rock and sand :(
