dead xenia

Had a rough move from my 55 to 75 and to a different house, Anyway my xenia has diminished over the last week, and now is just a small bump on a frag rock. Everything else looks great. My nitrates are around 20, I have another protein skimmer comming next week, which should help with the water quality.
Question is should I leave it in the tank and see if it comes back, or get it out.

Leave it in a see if it comes back. sometimes you think a coral is completely gone only to have it show again 3 or more months down the road. so just let it be.

 

I agree with John especially with Xenia the very smallest piece can grow a whole new coral. This have been proven many many many many times in my tank!

 

Leave it, deffinately leave it it, takes time but if theres on small inkling of life to it, it will come back.

 

Well my xenia is coming back and with about 3 times the polyps, thanks for the help everyone!
