DIY lid makeing

Is this set safe to make a DIY lid for a fish tank? (its a 36'' tank by 12'')

I would see if you can get a plastic frame kit. That one you linked to is aluminum which might not stand up to the salt water environment.

I personally would not use aluminum. It can be toxic to your animals in high enough concentrations.

Aluminum will rust after exposure to salt/ salt water. You want plastic for making lids for our tanks

Does anyone have a link for a plastic frame? i cant seem to find one. And dont post the bulk reef supplies screen top kit. I just cant see spending $40+ on a top.
