Do I need a 10,000k bulb?

I currently have (4) aqua blue plus, (1) fiji purple and (1) 6500k. I do have (2) 10,000k bulbs sitting around as back ups. Would it make any differenct in growth to add the 10,000k bulb into the mix?

What does the fiji purple look like?

If it doesn't look to wash out,I would add a 10k in place of a blue+.

The fiji purple is actually a purple spectrum. It's supposed to bring out the reds and purple colors more. It's the purple bulb on the bottom half of the lighting. (Not my actual light)

I explained it wrong. It's the 2nd bulb from the bottom. I had the (2) 10000k, 6500k and (3) blue plus, but it was too white looking for my taste. I like the more blue look, but I also want what's best for the health of the corals so I'm open to changing.

I have a 10k MH on my left side, and a 14k MH on my right...(right side was going bad, so I'm switching over to 14k)

I like the look of the 14k MH better, it's a bit more blue and the 10k is quite yellow. But, I get significantly better growth on the 10k side of the tank..

I guess all I can do is try out adding the 10k and see what happens. If I can get more growth and still have good color I'll be happy.

Okay.so it's the pink looking bulb.I just think even amount of daylight/blue would be better.You can also try the fiji purple,2 10k and the 3 blue+.

+1 for dropping the 6k and using 2 10k, purple, 3 blue. That might give you more color you want and good growth
