wow my two new emperor 400's are loud as heck :frustrat: the ones at the LFS are no where near this loud? any idea's

Biowheel? Are you using it just to move water, or with a filter pack? They're not really made for saltwater anyway. I'd ditch it, IMO.
Anyway, what noise is it making? Gurgling? or just splashing into the tank? In my freshwater years ago, if my water level went down too much from evaporation, it would make more noise. But the noise would go away once I raised the water levl.

no no just like a loud motor noise. it runs really good i was just moving water at first i threw filters in to see if it would quiet down. i read some need a break-in time and others need a different motor or propeller.

Fixed it impellor and fitting are very very tight fit. gotta be perfect. quiet flowing super happy right now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11111111111111111
