Fairly New and looking to set up a smaller tank...

I currently have a 30g reef tank that is doing quite well, and was looking for some advice on whether what I *want* is reasonable.

I'm looking to put a tank in my office, so it must be small, I'm thinking the smaller biocube would fit perfect, or if I move some things around I could probably manage to fit the bigger one.

I need to keep it *relatively* low maint. obviously water changes are a must, and a protein skimmer will be added.

Some things I *want* to put in it, in the approximate order of how much I'd like to have each thing in there...

Cow fish
Arrow Crab
Fire Shrimp
Brittle Starfish
Emerald Crab

Obviously some turbo snails and hermits would probably be in order...

I will say this much, this post is the beginning of my research and not the end, So at this point I have no idea of the compatibility between the fish I want...

Any and ALL input is greatly appreciated.

Some thoughts about the initial setup are should I use live sand and fake plants, or regular sand and live rocks???

Cow fish need a very large tank -- at least 125 gallons, even for small ones.

Saltwater Aquarium Fish for Marine Aquariums: Longhorn Cowfish

The inverts on your list look fine for a smaller tank. I would use dry sand and live rock. Fake plants tend to be algae magnets in saltwater tanks, and they don't look very natural.
