Favia?

What do you guys think about Favia/Brain Corals? I am new to reef keeping but have done ALOT of research. Are they something I should stay away from for a little bit, or are they a little lenient. Obviously they won't be as easy as Mushroom corals, but I think they're in my capabibility range.

They are a good LPS to keep, the only thing with them and other brain corals is they are very sensitive to changes in your alkalinity. If you are worried about keeping them I would try some other LPS first like candy canes, hammer corals etc.

+1 lil fish...they prefer moderate/medium light and flow, and most of them like the sand bed.

Although it's not a favia, I think open brains are probably the easiest of the brains. If you want to try one, that would be your best shot. Open brains should be placed on the sand.
