Feather duster... or just expensive food?

I like the concept of feather dusters.. but am afraid of what might eat it.
Do most reef safe fish avoid them? I don't want to tempt my butterfly (my guess as the most likely to eat it) into learning to eat more than just what I feed it.. because currently it hasn't gone for any of my coral (keeping fingers crossed been 2 weeks+).

If I get one am I basically just giving my fish a tasty treat?

Reef safe fish will leave it alone. The butterfly might make a meal out of it.
