Feeding frenzy

So I recently started feeding 1/4 to 1/3 cube every other day alternating between emerald entree and marine cuisine. Was feeding flake daily prior. Since the change, everything goes nuts at feeding time like they are starving. My bigger hermits almost flip themselves over grabbing stuff, my emerald crab is seen scavenging all over the tank, and my serpent star even comes out from under his rock. It's fun to watch all the inhabitants become so active at once, but is this normal? I expect the fish to do it, but I'm concerned about the emerald and serpent since they are known not to be seen that often. Are they going into this feeding frenzy because they are starving or is what I'm feeding now just that yummy.

Naww, that's normal...all the livestock will do that all the time.

Oh good so I can just sit back and relax with my coffee and watch like I have been. They never acted this way with the flake food so the frozen must be yummy.

My pom pom crab goes absolutely crazy when I feed the tank. I love it!

I've always gotten a better response from frozen food than other types. I think the livestock knows it's yummier.
