feeding lion

im in the process of switching my lion from eating live FW feeders to eating raw shrimp. he's used to me putting the feeders in by the net that he will swim INSIDE of it to get his food. yesterday i used that to my advantage to and tricked him into eating the tail end of a piece of shrimp. today he caught on and is refusing to eat it. he keeps spitting water at me for his food but wont take the shrimp.

should i keep doing what im doing to get him to eat it? or are there other methods of doing so?

He'll take it eventually.
You could also try silversides.

where can i get silversides at? ive never seen them at the store.

Most pet stores have them. They're just little frozen minnows.

It took me 2 weeks to get my lionfish eating, he is now on frozen brine shrimp as he is tiny, and will be trying to get him onto silversides.

so dont fret if he doesnt eat for a while, they are tough little buggers.

I have a Dwarf Lionfish and he loves almost anything, especial flake foods. It took him about 2 weeks to eat as well. Good luck with yours.
