firefish question

I'm considering puttin some firefish in my 125. I'm getting conflicting info, though... liveaquaria says firefish can only be kept in male/female pairs. My LFS says they can be kept in schools. I'd like a school of 'em, if that's feasible. Anyone know which one is right?

Its best to get a group of an odd number...3 or 5...like Dcan stated.

I bought 2 together....I had to name them Stumpy and Suspect #1 because Suspect #1 nipped at Stumpy until his beautiful long dorsal fin was a stump...plus every feeding time, he would chase stumpy away into his cave, not letting him eat. I banished Suspect #1 to the 10 gallon. hehehehe.
