While I was doing a water change - had the Magnum 350 turned off - noticed water on the floor. the canister actually cracked at the lip right under one of the metal latches. Luckily I was there when it cracked or it would have been a huge mess!

Got a new canister coming...

Good for you! That thing would have sucked water out of the tank and onto the floor until the water level was below the intake... Are you getting the same kind?

Glas you caught it in time. That sure would have been alot of mess and damage.

Yea - I am getting the same kind. It only cost 35 bucks to get a replacement canister. This wasn't a major crack so I don't think it's an overall faulty product.. just bad luck. It would have drained about 1/3 of water out of the tank onto my floor.. that would not have been cool.
