Feb 21, 2009 #1 bullitt21 Reefing newb i am getting green/brown slime with bubbles.what is this?i went away for a week and my skimmer mest up and my salt level went way down.everything is still living but my rocks are covered in crap.any help?

Feb 21, 2009 #2 yote In Memoriam Sounds like cyanobacteria. Up the water changes,cut the lights off for 3 or 4 days,siphon out as much as possible,and run a good GFO.
