as far as i can tell i am doing all the right things. i have a phosoban reactor, i have good water movement, i dont overfeed, my light bulbs are less than six monthes old, i upgraded to a bigger tank and cleaned all the rocks and i am using r/o water but i still keep getting hair algae. i even have a sea hare. why can't i get rid of the it

Once you have an algae in your tank you essentially always have it. It's controlling it that makes a differance. I have hair algae in my tank but I keep it under control by doing water changes mainly. Also the snails have really been munching down lately. Keep doing water changes until you can keep your nitrates under 10 ppm. You will see some of the algae but it wont be taking over.
