I just noticed this morning some creature, may be a worm or something, that casts these fine human hair looking filaments from the live rock down onto the sand bed. The hair is then retracted pulling whatever it sticks to, sand and small bits of whatever, onto the rock. Anybody know what it may be? Is it ok to be in the tank?

    They are reef safe.

I think they are actually vermit (sp?) snails. Either way they arent a problem. you can glue them shut if they are bothering your corals.

Vermetid snails shoot out spider webs. Spaghetti worms shoot out fine hairs.
