heater placement in a bio cube 29

I'm going to use an Aquatic life 115 skimmer in the first chamber - not sure if the other chambers will have enough water.

Can I put a heater in a back corner of the display/main tank. Is there any problem with coralline building up on it?

current plan: In-tank media basket with filter floss, with chem- pure or purigen, cheato with submersible light, Rio 6HF

concern is water level in 2 - 3 won' t be high enough to cover a heater

I don't know if you saw it in the details when you were looking at the in-tank media basket but with the basket you have to fill the rear chambers higher and ignore the min/max lines on chamber 3, so the water level will be plenty high in chamber 3 for a heater. My heater sits vertically in chamber 3 and it is still submerged by at least 3-4 inches.
