Reefing newb
i'm looking to buy a heater for my new 20 gallon tank since it seems to be to cold without one. my house is it at 76 but the tank won't go above 70 and has some wild swings some times so i would like it to be consistent. i found this heater online and i wanted to know if a) this is a good heater and b) if i should buy 2 50 watt heaters or 1 100 watt heater.
thanks!

damn forgot to post the links again :frustrat::frustrat::frustrat:

either 2 of these [ame]http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002YJW58K/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=UTF8&m=A3E5ELDKVG03PY[/ame]

or 1 of these [ame]http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002TDUMK4/ref=ox_sc_act_title_3?ie=UTF8&m=A3E5ELDKVG03PY[/ame]

really? i thought i should have about 5 watts per gallon? wouldn't it only need 100? or is a 150 better at keeping it stable and what not?

I always used a 100 on a 10. I have 100 on a 16 and a 50 on a 5.5. It should be fine, I guess, but thats just my personal preference. Both are turned down so Im sure youll be okay.

It's my understanding that the heaters rated for lets say a 10 gallon tank will only raise the temp like 6 degrees so if you are looking to go from 70 to 80, you might want to look in the 150 watt. Just remember if you get one to big and it gets stuck on you will fry your tank.

Personal I got with this one [ame="http://www.amazon.com/EHEIM-Jager-Aquarium-Thermostat-Heater/dp/B003M7P9YU/ref=sr_1_69?s=pet-supplies&ie=UTF8&qid=1328402785&sr=1-69"]LINK[/ame]

I have used them forever and have had great luck with them.
