Help Please

So I was cleaning the glass inside my tank yesterday with a blue scrubber thing when my little clown decided to bite it. When he swam away he had a little blue fiber hanging out of his mouth. I figured he would eventually spit it out. But it's now been around 24 hours and it is still hanging out of his mouth. Should I give him more time to take care of it on his own? Or should I try and net him and pull it out? It can't be good for him but will the stress of me catching him and pulling it out be worse?

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

I'd at least try to get him QTed.
Then give him another day or 2 and see if he can spit it out on his own.
I'd be afraid that its got into his gills and if pulled on,could kill him.

Yep, he still eats like a pig at feeding time. And your first thought is right, dumb ass clown, he is always trying to bite me. This time he bit off more than he could chew... But, I still feel bad for the little guy...

Some time after he ate tonight he managed to get rid of it and is back is his playful self :)
