Here is my surprise!!! Pics

Doc

I don't work for anybody
So, I just couldn't wait until Monday. I wanted to post the pics of my new fish and the arrangement of the rocks (kinda like furniture, just have to change it around from time to time). I will post a few pics here and more in the reef photography area. Hope you like it.

I decided to change when I saw an achilles in the fish store. My origional plan was to add an achilles tang and get a new emperor, one with more brilliant coloration. Unfortunatly, the LFS did not keep the achilles long enough for me to get him, so...I went with this...

Hope the pics were worth the wait. Rigo, I hope you can find a pic worth keeping on your PC. I am so in love with my tank, and yes, maybe a bit of an addiction.

I will post more pics in the reef photography section. Thanks for the patience folks.

Awesome! Today I asked my LFS about getting an achilles tang for me... He said the achilles tang is the only fish that makes a powder blue look hardy. So I think I'll pass on that one for a bit.

Alright Doc
I just tossed that whole bottle of little blue pills in the trash. Now the ole lady will really think I've lost my mind for looking at pics of your tank instead of the usual barely 18 porn sites.

Now see, those last two make worthy front page pics.Dang ,ya'll are screwing up my fish list(No powder blue).I saw a small Naso today for only $25,I was so tempted.I'm going to get 30 Chromis and call it a day.

Those Emperors are so nice Doc.
Yes Doc,I'm still chicken shit!

Dominick,

don't be afraid of the emperor angelfish. They never touch SPS corals - load up on SPS and you can have one. They ignore leathers as well. Feed him well and you can keep LPS, just look at my tank. Do it...do it...do it...do it...

I agree. He is just about to the size where he should begin the transformation from juvenile to adult (about 5 inches). I have heard that it can take as long as a year for the change to take place. I hope that is not the case. I am eager to see the yellow with black polka-dot pattern of the adult, outlined in the electric blue - what a magnificent fish. You can see the polka-dot pattern behind his stripes, but not unless you really stare at him. Glad you like him.

Its so tempting Doc,Biff you go first!

of course they would. Show them pics of my tank as "setting the standard of obsessive reefers everywhere" and they will let you jump on the band wagon. It gets lonely being the only crazy one in this forum.

-Dr Marco :sfish:

I wouldn't quite label you as crazy, unless you do the same things over and over and expect different results - then maybe. Me...maybe not crazy, just obsessed. BTW, I am impressed with your tank thus far. Sarah, can you imagine how it would look with a queen, french and passer angelfish gliding through your rocks and corals? wow, gets me all teary eyed just thinking about it!!!

You know, I am VERY tempted to try a big angel... But I have so much LPS! Well, after today, I may not have any LPS, hahahaha!

A safe bet is the P. Navarchus (majestic angel). Wow, is that a beauty. Not only is it such an incredible specimen, but they are fairly timid, don't like tons of competition for food and are probably the most reliable for not touching corals. It wouls love to have one, but my tank is just not big enough. Think it over, read up more on him...take the plunge.

yeah, they get to be just under a foot in size and ignore most corals - I can send you several links to articles written about them and pics of reef tanks with that guy in there.
