Stumbled across this website while trying to do some research on my up coming tank. I have a 10g nano fowlr tank and just purchased a 55g tank. Probably be searching this site or making posts with questions that will most definatly come up.

Wow, that was fast. Didnt expect a reply so soon.

Im in the process of find a few products and figuring out how to properly make them.
Im looking at protien skimmers first. Major question is how large of a skimmer do you need. Do you get one that is for the amount of water in the display tank, or for the total amount of water in your display and sump? I am thinking of using a 30g tank for my sump.

I am still new with this whole salt water hobby. This is my first attempt with a larger setup. Im trying to find everything and use it as a fall project.

reef octopus and bubble magus makes a great skimmer and look for one around double the display size..
