Hippo tang

I was just wondering what people think could you put a hippo tang if its very small in a 29 gallon for a while till it grows bigger then transfer into a 100 gallon tank later. Would like to get opinions before i do anything .

Not even fair to that tang even a little bit, and i bet you will find he doesnt last much longer than a few weeks in such a tiny tank. Even a baby.

That's what i was thinking to was just curious if it was possible and to keep the fish happy. Thanks!!! for the advice :) i guess i will have to wait a while :)

Definitely not, there are days where mine looks cramped in my 180. IMO Blue Hippos need an 8ft tank - meaning that unless its custom, your 100 gallon upgrade is still too small

Its not advised however I have seen them do very well in a smaller tank as babies
