Hi All,
My name is David and I have never before had any experience with either freshwater or saltwater tanks. My better half drug home a Saltwater Tank complete with all of the stuff as advertised on Craigs List. The tank is a standard 55 gal model measuring 30" wide, 18" deep, and 24" tall. No holes drilled in the tank.Has a hob filter system made by aquatech on the back, a heater, and an in tank pump to move the water. When she bought the tank, it was drained and the water discarded, live rock and sand put in a plastic container and brought home for a couple of weeks before she filled it with water and set up. I bought a few pounds of live fiji rock to mix with the dormant live rock we had and it has been running for a couple of weeks and it appears as though the rock and sand are making progress. She wants sea horses. I have used forums with my other interests and found them to be a huge amount of help and am looking forward to learning as much as I can about these systems and would like to thank everyone in advance for any assistance we enjoy.
Thanks,
David
