Is there a way to raise Alk levels w/out increasing Calc?

Hey guys,

I just did my weekly water check today and here are the results

Temp - 79
pH - 8
NO2 - 0
NO3 - 0
Ammonia - 0
Phosphates - 0
DkH - 7
Salinity - 1.025
Calcium - 445

My question is whether I can bring up my Alk level to above 8, but I noticed that most doses are Alk and Calc together, however, my Calc levels are fine...

PS. I also want to raise my pH but I have a suspicion that its a little low because of my low Alk levels.

Some other things you might need to know is that I spot feed my tank every other day, I have one fish and a few corals. I dose trace elements and iodine every 4th day and a weekly 20% water change (I do have to admit that although I try to keep on that schedule, once in a while Im a day or two behind)

Any help would help... thanks!!!!

I'm using baking soda now, to keep me above 8 dKh, but I haven't noticed even the slightest pH drop. I was checking daily. The first time I noticed, my alkalinity was at about 6, at pH 8.1 or 8.2. I wanted to raise the dKh to about 9 over 4 or 5 days. The pH remained at 8.1 or 2. Just keep checking.
Past my bed time...
Good luck!

Just a note but I have noticed that Lobos and some other creatures do not like sudden spikes in alk. Suggest you raise alk slowly.
