Noticed a several of these small things crawling on a rock, they're almost the size of your pinky finger nail, shrimp perhaps ?? talk to me folks

It looks like some sort of isopod.

Is it panic time yet ??? After doing some research it looks like it may be a Sphaeromene isopod ?? I noticed that it stayed on the rock feeding on the algae so this is another good sign I guess.

There are a few predatory isopods that are parasitic to fish, but they don't look like what you have there. The majority of them are harmless.
