Just tested a few things today...

PH okay this is weird...(I have 2 test kits one Red Sea and Nutrafin) the red sea said 7.8, the Nutrafin 7.4 (maybe even slightly lower) That is getting low.... do I need to add something?

Ya, your tank looks like a healty tank to me.

Diatoms are like Karma Chameloen, it come and goes, it comes and goo-o-o-oes.

If your pH is 7.8, that's not too low. If it's 7.4, that is too low. Sorry, I guess that doesn't really help :)

It does also depend on when you take the reading. Your pH will be lowest in the morning when the lights first get turned on. It will be highest at night when you turn the lights off. Try taking another reading late in the day and see what it is.

okay the ph prob has been fixed.

I had not one.....but 2 screwed PH test kits. Grumble....

I am sitting around 8.2-8.4
