I have had the rock out of my tank since May 28th. I want to frag some corals and re-use the rock that had the droids (I was looking for) on them...is it safe to use?
Is this coral or algae?

If I remove the worst affected rock, how long should I leave it in the sun for?
When I go to put it back in the tank, is there anything I need to be doing to the rock?
We are having a spell of hot weather, so the rock could cook in the sun quiet well for a few days.

I have seen some people say a few days in the sun is good, but I'm not sure either...hopefully someone with more experience sterillizing rock can help us!

It wasn't me!
I had a buddy that had them. He pulled the rock out, boiled some water in the microwave, and poured it on them........................................gone!

thats an interesting approach...my hydroids are dry an crusty...but I still don't trust those lottiel buggers.

I know there is also a snail that eats them.
