Keeping pods

So, I flip the light switch on my tank to show my friend my aquascape real fast and the tank looked like a sandstorm with all the pods flying around. I was wondering if many of the pods get caught in my HOB filter pad. I assume so, but never really checked.

I was thinking if I could just buy the carbon bags and place that with some live rock rubble in the chamber instead of the filter pad. I'm hoping this would prevent any pods dying from getting stuck by the currently used filter pads.

Yeah,a lot of pods will get caught in the filters.They'll also get chopped up by the power heads,skimmers,fish will eat them.:D
