Light times

I have the standerd 29 gallon biocube (non up-graded lights). How long should I have them on for because I have been noticing red algae growth right after I messed with the lights. Right now Blue = 1:00-10:00, White = 2:15- 9:30. (set back late to acomidate my schedule, in poorly lit room so no excess light to mess with the tank)

That seams like a good light schedule to me. The red algae outbreak and messing with your lights was probably a coincidence. Algae loves excess nutrients in your water, check your Nitrates and Phosphates.
