I am starting a 20g reef and was wondering how many watts would i need for a fixture this is the one i am looking to buy

You will need more light than that to keep photosynthetic animals like corals. Aim for at least 4 bulbs if you are going with a T5 light.

ya, not only is more bulbs better for total watts, but you will be able to play with the overall color of the light more. There are soooo many different color bulbs with T5.

Yeah I was just thinking it would be way to long for your smaller tank. I have a cube tank that is 18" and I am having a tough time finding a fixture that I like. The ones that fit dont have the bulbs I want so I am going to have to jerry rig it some how LOL
