I have a 125G, I'm running 2 nova extreme T-5 lights, 4x39 watt bulbs each. Is this enough light for corals/anemones? I have rock piles where I can place things higher up, just a general question. Would I need to upgrade lights?

If you want a nem, I would say you need better lights.
You'd be okay for softies and LPS, though.

what if I put both T-5 fixtures on 1 side of tank, and bought a hetal halide fixture over other half? Looking for advise/recommendations here. I could clean up my lights, sell on ebay and start over.

The light wouldn't look the same on both sides of the tank. I'd sell them and get some new lights.

I'm assuming that your running 2 36" fixtures, one on each end. SO Erin is right, you'll need more light.
