live rock and cycling

my tank was filled with sand and water yesterday, and today, i placed in the first pieces of live rock. my questions are:

1. should i be dosing the tank at this time for the live rock?
2. the filter only has filter wool in it for now to remove particulates. should i add in carbon?

You do not need to dose anything. Probably not for a long time. Now you just have to sit and wait!

You could add one or two pieces of table shrimp to help with the cycle if you want. Be patient; your cycle could take up to six weeks. Do you have your test kits yet?
