Magnesium queston

Would a magnesium of around 1,000 prevent my calcium from raising? My calcium was a out 400 and i added 3 tspof kent liquid calcium and my calcium stayed at 400. So i addedsome magnesium. Now will my calcium raise. Thanks for the help :)

If your magnesium is not right it will prevent your calcium from going up. I would recommend water changes to get your magnesium up then check all your parameters and go from there.

Why are you trying to raise it above 400? Your Ca at 400 is perfectly fine

400 is on the low end of what I like to keep my calcium, but 1000 for MAG is WAY low and will cause problems

most people keep their mag around 1300 to 1500. but i will say that most cal slutions you buy in a bottle are week soultions and can sometime take alot of it to raise your levels. i got tired of adding a couple bottles of cal a month so i switched to the bulkreef supply 2-part.

cal at 400 is good.
