Marineland Powerhead

I have 2 marineland powerheads in circulation mode. My issue is that I can't get them to suction.

One is a month old and the other is 2 days old and the suction is not there. It takes all of 5 minutes before all three suction cups pop up.

I press them firmly against the glass making sure each one is flat not popped.

Any ideas how to fix this? Anyone else have similar issues?

Its a problem with any suction cup, however you can somewhat help the situation by scraping the area with a razor blade and they trying to attach them

I hated suction cup power heads I'mn so glad for the mag's. But yes cleaning the glass helps. Also cleaning the suction cups help as well over time the suction cups will fail more and more so beready for that I'm sure there are replacements out there.

Oh yes and for cups that wont hold try heating them up with some hot water first that helps with hard/ stiff suction cups.
