yes, that fixture should work fine. I have never used that variety though. I like T-5 lighting unless you are planning on keeping, um, something I can't with T-5s. Can't think of anything though. MH tend to heat water a lot so make sure you keep tabs on it from the get go to see how it effects your temps. get ready to drop your heater settings to balance your MH temp increase. Don't keep a glass top on the tank and have a way to balance the evaporation you will get. Good luck.

Earlier models caught fire.
The newer ones are better but the ballast and bulbs aren't very good.They will work fine but aren't the highest quality.Of course,the price reflects that.Be aware of possible heat issues with MH.
